Inception

Close Corporation was formed in the year 2000 with Mr. M.S. Shai and Mr. G Schoeman as members.

Mrs. E. Schoeman became part of the company in may 2007.

Members and experience

1. Mr M.S. Shai (36 years) Qualification: Matric (maths)

Started working in Petroleum Depots in 1999 as an employee of Shana Construction.

Mr. Shai serves as Dithaba’s site manager and is responsible for overseeing quality of work, buying

of material and hiring of labour.

2. Mr. G. Schoeman (61 years) Qualification: BSc Engineering (civ)

Mr. Schoeman was employed by Murray & Roberts and Concor Construction from 1980 to 1988.

He started Shana Construction in 1988 and has worked in Petroleum Depots (mostly Caltex) since

1988.

The following fields were covered through the years:

1. All concrete work - paving, bund walls, separator pits, etc.

2. Building work incl. 2 no service stations (BP)

3. Mechanical work - installation of pumps and pipe work

4. Cleaning of petrol and diesel tanks

5. Painting of bulk tanks

3. Mrs. E Schoeman (53 years) Qualification: Matric (commerce)

Worked for Murray & Roberts as cashier/bookkeeper. Member of Shana Construction cc as from

1997, working as financial manager (same as Dithaba).
